One thing you need to know about me: I’m a hippie at heart, am not very outspoken about it, and have an open-mind when it comes to trying new foods for my taste buds, for my inner health, for my face, for my hair, and for FUN. I guess those are kind of like three things, really.
I wanted to start this blog for two main reasons (that are partly fueled by society, not going to lie).
1) chemical-laden beauty and hygiene products are forced ideas imposed on us by the big beauty industry (with the help of the media). Women can be beautiful (and clean!!) without the use of harsh ingredients that only irritate your skin. I want to make a switch to a “crunchy” lifestyle in an attempt to cleanse my body and soul of the manipulative reigns of the beauty industry. I am currently in the midst of my experiment of going shampoo-free. If you’re into natural remedies, natural skin and hair care, anything that is crunchy-related, follow me here!
2) College was not friendly in the sense that it has given me numerous opportunities to snack mindlessly late at night, leading to unfortunate weight gain. My exercise routine can no longer stand up against it…I must stop eating whatever whenever. So this summer, it’s become my mission to workout and refine my eating habits. That way, I can go back to school and everyone will be all, “DANGGGGG, she works OUT!” ;D
